Experience

Lawrence is the Director of Risk Advisory services at BDO in Botswana. His role includes responsibility for internal audit and IT audit engagements. He also leads and supervises a team of internal auditors. Prior to joining BDO, Lawrence worked as an Internal Audit & IT Audit Supervisor at one of the leading Audit and Advisory firms in Botswana and previously as an external auditor with another one of the larger Audit and Advisory firms in Botswana.  Lawrence is currently a board member of the Botswana Institute of Internal Auditors Committee in the role of IT Specialist. Moreover, Lawrence has worked on different compliance and regulatory review related engagements including gap analysis engagements, reviews of compliance procedures and frameworks, and advising different boards on best practises and regulatory requirements associated with their organisational practices. Moreover he well versed with applying BDO’s global methodologies to identify and evaluate regulatory risks that could negatively impact organizations of different sizes across different industries.
